Frank Hornstein for House District 61A

Frank Hornstein is running for re-election to House district 61A. He has been a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2003. Always a strong advocate for environmental and economic justice, Hornstein supports the Green New Deal as well as increasing the state’s renewable energy standard and incentivizing the use of electric and hybrid vehicles.

Hornstein is an advocate of increasing the minimum wage, increased paid sick time and family medical leave and affordable housing for families and seniors. He has authored bills to close corporate tax loopholes to ensure that corporations and wealthy individuals pay their fair share.

Representative Hornstein on electrification:

“As chair of the transportation committee, I am strongly committed to ensuring that beneficial electrification will be accessible to low income and under resourced communities. That is why I held a field hearing last year at North High School to specifically address this issue. I support Rep Lee’s legislation to prioritize utilization of electric busses in communities that are already facing higher rates of asthma on other health impacts.”
