Why is the Minnesota Chamber trying to kill climate solutions supported by Minnesotans and our business community? (Hint: Ask the fossil fuel industry.)

Who’s doing the dirty work to protect Big Oil's profits?

Why is the Minnesota Chamber trying to kill climate solutions supported by Minnesotans and our business community? (Hint: Ask the fossil fuel industry.)

As Minnesotans, we appreciate hometown corporations like Target, Cargill, Best Buy, 3M and General Mills -- especially as these businesses show up to support our communities in this time of need. All of these businesses have also asked Minnesota’s lawmakers to pass real solutions to the climate change crisis we all face.

While we’re all pulling together to weather this storm and protect our families, fossil fuel businesses like Flint Hills Resources, backed by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, are quietly jockeying to protect their profits. In contrast to the leadership of Minnesota’s business community, the Chamber is trying to block common-sense legislation that would help hard-pressed families save money on their utility bills and conserve energy.

Our clean energy transition will create jobs for thousands of Minnesotans and a healthier, more prosperous future for the people and businesses of our state.

We reached out to prominent chamber members urging them to reconcile their commitments to climate change and carbon emissions with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce’s obstructionist stance on clean energy and climate policy. Help amplify our message and let businesses like Target, 3M, General Mills, and Cargill know that the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is preventing Minnesota from being a national leader on climate change

Let businesses like Target, 3M, General Mills and Cargill know that the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce is preventing Minnesota from being a national leader on climate change. It’s time for the Chamber to STOP doing the dirty work for a dying fossil fuel industry and STAND UP for the values of Minnesotans and our business community.
